Orange for a Snack, Orange for a Drink

Posted by Didi Gorman on

Oranges are juicy and naturally sweet, which makes them super easy to turn into a treat!

Noticed how beautifully that rhymes?

Our post today features two quick orange treats.

By that I mean that the only ingredient we’ll be using today is an orange.

Did you know?
By slitting the orange along the white lines we drench it in its own juice. Yumm!

Go grab an orange, and let’s get slitting and squeezing!

Half Orange

Special equipment: none

Preps: 1 minute
Serves: 1

You will need:

1 orange, unpeeled

How to make it:

  1. Cut the orange in half at its fattest point.
  2. Leaving the peel intact, slit around the perimeter and along all the internal white lines (in the shape of a star). This will make it easy to scoop out the pulp.

Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice

Let’s make orange juice from scratch. It’s super fresh and chock-full of flavor!

Special equipment: squeezer

Preps: 2 minutes
Serves: 1

You will need:

An orange per person

How to make it:

Squeeze orange and pour the juice and the pulp into a see-through glass.

Noticed the exquisite fragrance? Our juice was still a fruit a scant minute ago - all its vitamins alive and kicking! No factory juice will ever be as fresh as that.

Go enjoy your juice and I will take this opportunity to wish you a lovely weekend, brimming with freshness and beauty!
