Ode to Spring

Spring is finally here!
It’s been a long, long winter, and I’m so glad it’s over.
I’ve been dreaming about going outside to enjoy the soft sun for a while now, and today I finally did it!
Armed with a bowl of fresh fruit (in the picture) and a group of kiddos -who kept snatching the fruit out of the bowl and thought I hadn’t noticed- out we went to sit on the porch and enjoy this beautiful day.
As the cliché goes, “the sun was shining, the birds were singing, the flowers were blossoming, and the children were playing”… Ok, ok, I know… No need to stretch it, you get my point.
“And what happened to the fruit in picture?” – you may wonder. “Isn’t this the whole point of this post?”
Yes, dear reader, you’re right. Whenever a large close-up image is planted in a post, it’s because that indeed is the central point, which is exactly the case in our post today.
The grapes, raspberries and oranges were gone in a flash. Juicy, colorful, fresh & fruity. Pure joy!
As for preps? - Two minutes. Peeling and cutting up the orange was the most ‘arduous’ task here.
Sugar? - No sugar added. No need. The fruit is exquisite as-is.
On that note, from our balmy porch I’ll wish you a beautiful weekend. Here’s to spring!
