A Quick Treat of Frozen Blueberries with Milk

Posted by Didi Gorman on

A while back I discovered the joy of frozen fruit. There’s something about it that elevates it from simple fruit into a popsicle-like dessert.

This exquisite treat is simple, quick and super refreshing. No sugar added.

Here it is.

Sweetened by: fruit only

Preps: 1 minute
Serves: 1

You will need:
A handful unsweetened frozen blueberries
¾ -1 cup milk

How to make it:
Pour blueberries and milk into a clear bowl or glass. Let the frozen blueberries sit in the milk for a minute. The milk will start freezing like frozen yogurt and might turn purple-pink!

Variations:

  • Other fruit: Replace blueberries with other frozen berries or frozen fruit, such as mango, cherries, raspberries, or pineapple. (All unsweetened).
  • Dairy-free: Replace dairy with a non-dairy substitute. Difference in flavor and texture to be expected.

Time to slurp, and I will take this opportunity to wish you a wonderful weekend,
