We're pleased to offer a range of traditional healthy pastured fats, including Ghee, Lard and Tallow.
- Our grass-fed organic ghee is made from the milk of pastured cows, fed on fresh green grass in spring and fall. No GMOs, no added salt, no preservatives, no trans fats, no colors or dyes, no MSG, no flavor enhancers. The one and only ingredient is non-homogenized milk, with absolutely nothing else added to it. Golden colored ghee is prepared by melting and simmering unsalted butter until all the water evaporates and the milk solids settle at the bottom. The remaining butter oil is very stable, giving it a high smoke point which makes it an excellent choice to use for baking, frying and sautéing.
- Pure lard from pasture-raised pigs, unhydrogenated and without additives. A traditional fat, perfect for frying and sautéing, it’s also known for making delicious pastries and flaky pie crusts. Pure lard is primarily rendered from back fat. It is able to withstand medium high heat, and is recommended for adding subtle, natural flavor to your dishes.
- Fatworks pure tallow is crafted from 100% grass-fed, pasture-raised cows, and is rendered using the traditional low-heat kettle method. An advanced fine-filtering system results in a premium tallow that meets the highest standards of gourmet cooks and all those who enjoy real food! Premium grass-fed beef tallow is a traditional fat, perfect for deep frying and sautéing. It can be used in pies, fries, eggs, chili, stews, and more.
